I have an initial recruiter phone interview with Square Thursday. Is it it just a phone call or is it a video call and they didn’t specify. If it’s a video call what’s the dress code like? I’m coming from consulting so all my interviews were in suits. Any tips to get past the recruiter phone screen?

Comb through that no compete...and client will pursue the implementation without you guaranteed. The independent option is great and you make a ton more money if you can get a gig or contract without going through someone...
Easy to handle. Resign and let the client reach out to you.
You’re not really going after their business and they have not standing to prevent you from earning a living.
To your broader question: most independent consultants I’ve seen can do very well for 2-3 years as they tend to rely on a client they’ve done lots of work for. Then they run out of opportunities at that client and don’t have the time to do true BD. That’s when many go back to a firm.
You’re not make a forever decision and you seem to have a good opportunity here. Just be sure to account for health insurance costs
Makes sense 2-3 year window due to current project work. Insurance - Wife has solid option for adding me.
