This is regarding Visa Appointment for Germany - in VFS.
My visa expiry is June 2023 , whereas my Appointment to consulate is July 2022. I am going to renew my visa now but for my appointment I had given my current passport number and for appointment I need to carry the renewed passport(Which will have new Passport Number) , please help if this will be an issue?? Just accepted an offer with a psych startup. Not exactly the offer I was hoping for as I’m taking a slight pay cut ($73/hr) and it’s a 1099 position. I keep getting stuck on the 1099 piece because I’ll be working 40 hrs/wk, but have been told I’m not eligible to be a W2 employee. Needless to say, no benefits whatsoever. They don’t even provide a computer or any other remote equipment for the completely remote position. Am I making a mistake? Also, can anyone chime in about being a 1099 employee?

HNY all! I have multiple rollover and traditional IRAs, as well as a solo 401k. But (since I started paying attention to this kind of thing) have always been over the income limit to start a Roth IRA. I’ve also not done much contributing in the last few years due to purchasing an apartment and saving for renovations. Cue pandemic joblessness... if married filing separately, would you say it’s a good idea to start a Roth while under the income limit, even in this climate? Any reason not to?

Does EY’s vision plan not cover eye exams?

At EY is I was reimbursed for a stationary bike 2 years ago. Would EY reimburse me for a road bike this coming year? There's a stipulation that says every 5 years but I'm not sure if that means for another stationary bike or if I can get a road bike and be reimbursed.
