Finance people lack the accounting fundamentals that accountants can leverage when they go into finance. Add analytics to this mix and you have a triple threat‼️ Finance people struggle with what's behind the numbers being threaded through financial reports, making anomalies and inferences more digestible by an accountant. Finance professionals rely on accountants as to why or why not the numbers or analysis makes sense. Just my experience but Finance and budget professionals struggle understanding the big picture or at least the ones I've worked with. Just my 💰0️⃣.0️⃣2️⃣

1st of all, I’m not even an accountant. & you calling me a loser is funny. I’m winning everyday. I’m probably happier in life than you, troll. Go be sorry somewhere else, loser.

I literally did both. Because I like math, finance was easier. Clown that I am, I didn't pursue finance because I heard the hours were better in accounting.

U are a certified clown officially now. You’d make a great LMM private equity associate.

Lol how do you figure it is a dying profession?

Some people who work in accounting also have a background in finance. I have worked with many people who were accounting majors and got a master's degree in finance.

Getting into high finance is much harder compared to accounting

Does anyone know if their firm has any inclusion initiatives around hiring individuals with special needs as part of a transition program? For example, when offices are open, having individuals be employed by the firm and help with more administrative tasks such as helping to get conference rooms set up for events, assisting visitors, etc.? My younger brother has special needs so am trying to help my parents look for a few options and was wondering if any of the consulting firms have this!

I am a young professional... But every job interview I’ve had so far pretty much just wants to know what kind of person I am. They are as interested in my leadership/communication as much as they are in me talking about my experience.

(“Real jobs” in accounting, finance and private equity.)

Is this how it will always be? Or is this predominantly because I am in lower positions at this point in my career?

Hi Accenture people, got offer today, asked HR about project, she mentioned it will be mapped on first day itself and will be connected with project manager. I told her i need details about the project and she said she will talk to project manager and get back to me tommorrow. Everyone says we have to search project after joining only. So any idea if this scenario can happen? Anyone got to know project details before joining? Please share ur views.

For self employed: max SEP IRA/solo 401k->max roth IRA->max trad IRA->max HSA
