Advice regarding pay/bonus for incoming MBA associate—
I’m an incoming associate with my start date delayed 2 months due to covid19. Employer has offered to onboard at original start date to get us on payroll (no work required!) but will take those 2 months pay out of the year end bonus. I’m seeing the tax benefit for collecting the money now (salary for half of 2020) versus later (bigger bonus with full year of salary for 2021) but I’m wondering if there is anything I’m missing? TIA

Got an offer from Kantar Consulting to work on their retail/cpg product.
Currently working with IBM with 10+ yoe having joined IBM 10 months back. Currently at 25 lpa and getting an offer of 32 fixed+15% variable.

Now my question is - Is it worth the gamble to leave IBM and join Kantar consulting which btw is known for market research and not consulting.
Also would leaving IBM after 1 year look bad on CV?

Interesting all the noise about these PPT, my take:

The pandemic took all the upside of an IB analyst life (client meetings in person, fancy trips, suit up, worshiped at networking events) and left all the juniors with the downside (long hours, monkey-like type of job, aggressive work environment).

Not that the complaints are not sort of legitimate but you may need to revise the decision-making process that led you to accept a return offer. Specially if you were looking for less hours.
