After 20+ yrs of work, I no longer have health insurance but am on maintenance meds? Can anyone tell me what's the cheapest health insurance for a 59yr old to get? I'm struggling out here.

Sorry to hear that! I’m not really sure about health plans outside of employer sponsored ones. But if you are looking for good prices on meds, try looking at GoodRX or Cost Plus Drugs.com I have not used either, but hear a lot of people actually finding their meds cheaper on there when compared to the insurance they have.

Depends on what your income bracket is, but the public option insurances are normally very cheap for people with low-income. Each state is different (and I"m not super familiar with the public option in GA) but in other states I have paid as little as like $100 monthly for a public health insurance plan when I was making very little money. I'd look into the public options

529 Plan VERSUS Prepaid

We live in Florida and currently have a Freshman in High School and a 16 month old. We hear from our friends and family with college bound children "I wish we would have done Florida PrePaid." After obviously ignoring this for years, we are finally trying to do it before "it's too late" for both children.

Does anyone have recommendations on which plan to go with for each child? I once did the pros and cons on a whiteboard and it seemed like 529 was better.

Has anyone dealt with submitting domestic adoption costs for reimbursement? Do we just email them our receipts as the expense has occurred. Is there forms to fill out as well? I just started the process and made my first payment and want to know how to submit.

For the monthly expense reimbursement, how does it work if I choose it for my cellphone, is the amount added to my paycheck or I have to submit my bill each month in the expense account? Thanks

For expert witnesses/lawyers

I’m a former forensic scientist that left the field several years ago. I recently received a subpoena from a case I worked and suggested to DA to have evidence re-worked by the lab or stipulation. If I am required to testify (as an expert witness), I would need to book a flight, hotel, etc. My question is this: can I ask for my requested hourly rate, travel, and hotel to be covered when speaking with DA or is that “not how this works” as the investigator put it?
