After 24 years I decided to leave the agency world. I was just getting older without being able to move up in the corporate ladder and younger people were becoming my superiors. So I took a job on the client side where my seniority is recognized. But I have this deep sadness and sense of failure as I didn’t make it bigger in the industry where I worked so hard. At 50 I still long I was in an agency. What is wrong with me?

Conventional wisdom on current firm counter-offering when mentioning you have a few offers? I have an offer at a large firm in Miami. Current large firm has no office there but mentioned they can likely let me be there in a remote basis. I’m a special education parent attorney at a small firm and I’ve spent my legal career in the education and juvenile areas of the law working for 2 non-profits before ending up at the firm. However, I’m just exhausted, unmotivated, and and looking for a change. At this point (6.5 yrs of practice), is that type of transition even possible or am I stuck due to the practice area?
