Hi, we just launched Diversity and inclusion committee at our work place and one of our many initiatives is to share some reminders /notifications about safety and inclusion in common employee platforms/portals e.g There’s no place or time when discrimination is acceptable. Hello, I have a question that needs your inputs how to handle. I am working with a post-MBA Associate on a project and this person seems to do extra work beyond what the team is asking the rest of us to do. I think during our conversations with the leadership, there were a couple of points that were brought up by the MD but that was not a concrete directive that we need to do because if it is, I would know about it from the chain email since I am staffed to the project.

Is there a corporate way to bring up to senior leaders that an IC is causing issues across multiple teams because they are demanding and also doesn’t collaborate well? The IC gives vague “direction” then says they are too busy to clarify. They also refuse to use our project management/ collaboration tools.

Been on a project for 2 weeks and thinking it’s not for me. The manager is kind of rude when I ask for help/direction, but he always says to ask if things are uncertain. He always has this condescending attitude and just keeps telling me that he expects more of someone at my level, C. I just keep feeling anxious that I’m not meeting expectations and feel reluctant to ask for help. Anyone in the same boat?

Background: MS in Statistics from tier-1 Institute, 3 YoE across Bank of America and UBS, based in India.

Is it possible without a) going for an MBA b) Starting from the bottom at Undergrad analyst level.
Would ideally target pre-MBA Associate level (one step short of post MBA level).

After 24 years I decided to leave the agency world. I was just getting older without being able to move up in the corporate ladder and younger people were becoming my superiors. So I took a job on the client side where my seniority is recognized. But I have this deep sadness and sense of failure as I didn’t make it bigger in the industry where I worked so hard. At 50 I still long I was in an agency. What is wrong with me?
