I don’t tell clients I use AI—why give them ammo to devalue the work? They’re hiring me, not my toolbox. Let them think the genius came from thin air.
One angle I've been playing with is telling clients I have different rates for work that is more or less human. I then give examples of what more and less human work looks like. That way they understand the quality difference. If they didn't want your expertise anyway, you got paid to do very little. And if they did want your human touch they'll realize it costs more bc you have to put in the time to get it right.
Not every client understands that, but it's something they need to learn. It's better than not telling them you're using it (bc they might have personal concerns) and having them think they can get cheaper elsewhere bc they're comparing an AI bot on Fiverr to your full rate. You become the one-stop shop for copy no matter what quality they aspire to
