Am I the only person who has been super disgusted to Fishbowl’s response to the Meta layoffs? I’ve been laid off twice in my career but I’m not mad at 11000 people who no longer have jobs just cause they got decent severance while I got a week on my way out. Is this legal? My spouses company just decided to change their comp structure for account managers. It was base + comm, now it’s commission only but nothing changed, OT commission is the same, didn’t get more points, just took away the base pay and said work harder basically. So now they have to worker harder to get $50k they were already making. (Not a decision based on employee performance, they’ve been crushing it. I think the company is just trying to save money they overspent else where)

Had a heart to heart talk with my director today. Been feeling overwhelmed and burnt out since my last job and trying to onboard into this new job (started 3 mths ago). I didn’t have any break between jobs so I realized I burned out quick here. It’s usually not my thing to be too honest in a professional setting but I needed him to know bc my performance was affected. We brainstormed how we can work together to make this a better experience for me. Hopefully he was genuine and doesn’t fire me!
