Hey! Any Google folks know if it’s possible to negotiate fully remote if a contract role is hybrid? Personally, I don’t want to relocate and go to the office on a contract role given the current economy. Plus, I’m assuming contractors are the first to go in layoffs. I just think it’s a fair trade off if I’d be allowed to work fully remote. I’m also trying to have flexibility to manage my Airbnb business in a different country. Same time zone as the home office if I’d travel weeks at a time.

Usually more expensive if you’re returning the car to a different location than where you got it. Will you know if you need RT or one-way before you pick up the car? You can make reservations without a deposit so there’s no charge to change
No - I won’t know until after I’ve pick it up. It’s about $60 to book a roundtrip, and $90 to book the one way. Curious about how much extra it will cost to book roundtrip and change mid-rental to one way, or vice-versa.
Hoping someone has had this experience because I could call Avis but their customer support is just devastating
Had a similar situation a few years back and it was better to keep the RT reservation and actually return the car the last day in the town you picked it up and use a separate shorter duration one way reservation.
Hmm. That’s not quite an option. Driving to purchase a used car out of state. If I buy it, I’d want to return the rental and just drive back in the new one. If I don’t complete the deal, obviously need to drive home.
I went with a RT reservation. Someone is coming with me, so if a one-way return is exorbitantly expensive, my friend and I can drive both back home.
Idk about you guys - but I don’t think Avis charges more for a diff location anymore. I do it all the time, and the pricing is pretty reasonable. But I typically know what my drop off is in advance. I would just call and find out
