Give it a try for a year - you can always leave! Given so many of the pros are there, it may be worth giving it a real shot.
Unless you have a family and will need to move everyone? That probably isn’t worth it since it’s hard to uproot everyone.
This. Try it for a year. If you don't like it, you will still make 3 years of your current pay. You can even afford to take a year off after
Take the job and come recruit me for 3x the pay. Thank you, love you.

You know what's unfulfilling? Working till 70 when you could have retired at 50. Take the extra money and invest it. Stick it out for a year. If you hate it, plan an exit and leave for more money than you make now, but maybe less than this role pays.
How do you know you'll be unfulfilled until you try it
3x… you should take it unless the job was going to be brutal.
I’d try for a year.. boomerangs are common at big 4s
Yeah, that sounds unreasonable to me. Or short sighted on your end. Maybe you’re afraid of the change and need to have a reason to decline? Just guessing here of course.
With so many good things, I wouldn’t hesitate for a second and take that job, planning to make changes if the work really turns out to be so unfulfilling.
Take the job, no one is going to force you to stay at that position forever, you will find your next opportunity there.
I thought I’d be bored at my current role. Most days, I love my team and boss. There’s more problem solving activities than I expected, which makes me happy. Who knows? It could surprise you. I’m still here, but also looking for the next thing, which is common with the younger generation. We don’t work for one company until we retire.
Take the job and leave if you don’t like the job. you get better salaries in the future
Give it a shot, worst case make sure you leave you current place on good terms and you can always go back
As a counter to A2's story, I took a role half way across the country, with every intention of needing to find something new within 12 to 18 months. 10 years later as one of the top performers in the organization, I turned down a national management position, to then move to a lucrative career at Microsoft.
Incidentally my current role is nothing like my pre-conceived notions, and as such I'm not expecting to retire in the role, though having the time in seat on my resume, I am confident that I'm still on an upward path.
Another basic fact to consider is that your new role will put you in a position to be looking for equal or better pay for your next venture. You can't say with confidence that another such role will come along.
I recently took a role for a 40k pay bump (pre bonus) and I’m miserable. I dread going to work on Monday’s and I cry sometimes when I come home lol. I was in the exact same shoes, great role great opportunity but I knew going in I wasn’t going to enjoy it. Everyone told me to just do it for a year— I wish I’d listened to my gut instead of other people.
Listen to your gut! A year is an extremely long time if you need to cross off the days one by one. I’m on day 47/365.
Working on it! Already speaking to recruiters and have told my manager I’m looking to be switched to a new team. Wish I stayed where I was because my CFA is next week and I made such a mess for myself the past few months.
Perhaps I’m still balls deep in my own mess and my vision is a little blurry, but opportunities come and go. I wish I’d waited for a better position instead of forcing myself into the mold everyone else thought was a good fit for me.

Just keep on mind that the current labor market is a once in a lifetime opportunity for exp. workers.
Don’t take it and refer me please!
lol
Why did you interview for that job in the first place?
