One more pathetic interview experience. This time it is @wissen . They took my written test, i cleared all the 3 tech interviews, HR round done, CTO round done. Now during the offer release they told MD is not approving due to mixed feedback of the initial rounds now one more tech round u need to give, i said okay, that guy only asked me 1 question and completed the interview. Saying knowledge gap. Now Offer they are not releasing . Thanks for wasting everyone's time . Wissen Technology

You are absolutely wrong. The company just need the people based on skill set. You didn’t really performed well in the interview and hence putting up this logic. How do you know you are better than a north indian. What if the other person selected is a south indian only. Actually, no one can really be 100% sure if a person is south indian or north indian person just by the name. I have seen many people with parents north indian born and brought up in south and have many friends who are are south indian but are born in north india.does this doesn’t make them a north indian ? This definitely does. Stop this discrimination you have in mindset. Stop spreading negativity for people of your own country.
Amdocs Pune. I completed HR round too. They did not release offer because I am from AP and have an offer in Hyderabad
I am a North Indian who is like born and brought up in South India and I have never experienced such things anywhere. Itz the social media and some people like you who actually potrays Or take up things the way, which they are not !! Yes some HR's behave differently(Bad attitude) but it has got nothing to do with which part of India you belong to!!

This thread can lead into a gully brawl. 🤣
Never generalise any thing.

I'm a north Indian but my name is typical south Indian type of name.
I never faced this issue.
In the last 3 months, I attended more than 50 interviews and cleared many.
The ones I couldn't clear were due to my performance and I knew after the interview that I won't be selected.
Bias can be there with some HRs but don't generalize it.

wow, this is something new. 🤔
Never faced it myself though. Btw, North Indian here, working in Bangalore.
Stop spreading hate here. If u have skills in their budget it's enough to get selected.
In business there is no divide between north or south or any region for that matter. As long as a candidate have the required skill set within the budget there is no issue. Ofcourse otherwise, if the job demand specifically requires for expertise in the local language it is still a skill set that either a person from north or south may be disqualified.
I have recently faces the same issue twice.
internal interviewer was from south and i am from maharashtra. he deliberately gave bad feedback , even though interview went really well and selected a south indian guy for the same position who again was frnd of my and wasnt even good at tech . i asked some of my seniors from previous project, they said the same thing that south indians will select only their people.
It's almost true even I had faced the same situation
