This will be based on decisions made by directors of each team and apparently you still need to be close to the office for any necessary in office meeting ( whatever that means) It also can change if they want it to so not definitely permanent

Wonder if anyone can offer advice on which cert to pursue next? I obtained my CompTIA Security+ last year and wondering if I should go for the CySA+ or Pentest+ next. I also have my AWS CCP and will be sitting for the Solutions Architect soon as well. Currently not doing security stuff at work but would love to keep my skills going. I was hoping one of these next certs will help me finally break into a security role and love the idea of pentesting but not sure if the CySA+ is more beneficial.

I moved to a new city 8 months ago but I don’t like it. I have made one close friend and other than that I’m mostly alone.
I need to let my landlord know next week if I want to renew my lease.

I have a few options:
-renew my lease and stay one more year in this city I don’t really like
- cancel my lease and go back home (it’s a great city)
- move to yet a new city that I feel would suit me better, at least on paper

How would one assess their options?

Recently, I’ve been working with a new team and couldn’t be happier with the work environment we’ve created even being short staffed. I can’t help but reflect on my past team structures I’ve had at past agencies.. I never felt I could relate to anyone (usually white f/m) and seems like we only ever bonded over happy hours & publisher outings with tons of booze. Point being, I’m grateful to have the opportunity to lead a diverse team of strong thinkers and hard workers with similar experiences.

Additional Posts in Return to the Office

Anyone won the battle when being told you have to return to office but you want to stay remote? Not particularly interested in compromising considering I’ve been remote my entire tenure here, but they’re really trying to force it on us. All tips welcome. Background: no one on my working team lives in the same office, I’m just at the US HQ.

Is anyone’s company shifting to a hybrid in office/wfh model?

Can the hybrid model actually work?

People have gotten so used to just backing meetings up into each other. You logout of one and immediately jump in to another. I remember days full of meetings before but not at this volume.

I struggle believing this practice will cease with any percentage of the workforce at home. I don't subscribe to all or nothing but I'm interested in if this has been addressed. Has anyone's hybrid policy mentioned the future of meeting best practice?
