I am relocating to Charlotte NC November 30th and on the career hunt . I have experience in HR, hospitality, social work, customer service, and education. I’ll graduate with my Master of Social Work in May 2023. I’ve been applying to a few things but no luck. I’m open to trying new career fields and to hybrid, on-site , or remote work. Hello, I am in USI GES tax at DUSI. I love my job but not my team and mgmt anymore. I'm a performer and I'm dumped with work of 2 ppl while others are searching for work. I am burned out.

I resigned and accepted a job with EY GDS with a huge pay bump that DUSI can't match but I also gave up my potential promotion for 2023.

I've been feeling bad about putting my papers down and letting go off my promotion but I am really tired. I took up this job as an escape.

Did i do the right thing?

My company announced a hybrid plan starting in September (1-3 days per week in the office). Did anyone else’s company announce a hybrid plan?

Just got return to office email. People can start coming in 6/1 but still limited access. Seems like September will be a more official return. They’ve said 75% of us will remain hybrid wfh/in office after that (NYC)

I have a friend at IBM who let me know they will be hybrid, only in office as needed. Not sure when that new policy is starting though

Our hybrid plan is either “1 to 3 days a week in office, or 1 to 3 days per month” (starting in September). They keep emphasizing that the future of work is flexibility

Tentative plan is September with flexibility after. Haven’t disclosed how many days will be wfh/in office. Location is NYC

Deloitte is remote until at least Sept 6, you can only access offices earlier with express permission. Some limited travel is occurring to client site prior to then.

I have to have an official ADA convo with HR about requesting to continue to WFH and not move back to NYC. Has anyone gone through this process?

Email from leadership last week. We can go back as soon as 7/5 with permission. Had to let our boss know. Phase 1 will begin in July and go through end of Sept, provided schools are re opened. Future phases will be announced at a later date. So, I guess at this point in time, things are still up in the air.

Google pushed back their return to office to January 2022 from October 2021

Anyone won the battle when being told you have to return to office but you want to stay remote? Not particularly interested in compromising considering I’ve been remote my entire tenure here, but they’re really trying to force it on us. All tips welcome. Background: no one on my working team lives in the same office, I’m just at the US HQ.
