How many of you are still Working from Home? Is WFO is not mandatory for everyone?

I’m location flexible (working mostly remote) and a petite South Asian young woman who is budget conscious. Would you recommend Astoria or Greenpoint / other Brooklyn neighborhoods for me? I don’t care about being super hip, would like to be in a neighborhood where I feel safe living alone (first time doing so).

Hello all, I am a production manager for a sign design and manufacturing company. I have been with the company for six years now starting as lead graphic designer working my way to the production manager. since becoming the production manager two years ago I am responsible for 4 large format printers and 1 vinyl plotter. I was just informed after the third round of interviews they’d like at least 5 references, two must be supervisors. My last job was a temporary remote job where I didn’t really interact with my supervisor and the jobs before that were at my family’s business (I do not speak to any of them for serious personal reasons.) Hi everyone! I’m an EA for a Property Management company, I wanted to get your opinion on a situation. We have an office manager, who is in charge of greeting clients and anybody who walks through the doors, returning of keys, etc., our office manager wants to work a hybrid schedule and we are not opposed to it as long as we can ensure client satisfaction and that the office is orderly. Has anybody been able to make this work?

Just got return to office email. People can start coming in 6/1 but still limited access. Seems like September will be a more official return. They’ve said 75% of us will remain hybrid wfh/in office after that (NYC)

Our hybrid plan is either “1 to 3 days a week in office, or 1 to 3 days per month” (starting in September). They keep emphasizing that the future of work is flexibility

Saw on LinkedIn that Georgia Pacific is letting vaccinated people return too the office now and soon will let all back who want to be - but if you are unvaccinated you must wear a mask and keep certain distance from others. Unsure of all of the details of that.

September with extreme flexibility at first. Schedule and seating set-up TBD. Local gov and case count will also be factors. Washington DC.

My company announced a hybrid plan starting in September (1-3 days per week in the office). Did anyone else’s company announce a hybrid plan?

Deloitte is remote until at least Sept 6, you can only access offices earlier with express permission. Some limited travel is occurring to client site prior to then.

Anyone won the battle when being told you have to return to office but you want to stay remote? Not particularly interested in compromising considering I’ve been remote my entire tenure here, but they’re really trying to force it on us. All tips welcome. Background: no one on my working team lives in the same office, I’m just at the US HQ.
