Hello guys, I am currently with a boutique consulting firm with $130k base and $150k TC with 5 YOE. I have a phone screen coming up with Amazon recruiter. I believe my base is on the higher levels of L5 BIE salary bands ( perceived from diff websites and posts). Would the recruiter entertain my profile, if I push for $150 base and overall 20-30% hike in TC. Appreciate your guidance on this.Amazon

Thoughts on “special” salary grades. I just found out the VP I was offered is not a grade 12 like most comparable roles (verified). Also not an 11, but an 11A. Slightly higher than an 11, a good bit lower than a 12. All due to the fact that it’s a leap from my current position. Why should that matter…..shouldn’t it pay what it should pay if I am selected, rather that curving down towards my current rate?
