Analyst at a boutique, A&D-focused, strategy firm, interested in moving to a tier 2 firm once i have a little more experience and they are hiring again. I have the option to purely do CDD for M&A transactions, will that experience look better than growth strategy projects for an industry I am hoping to branch away from?

First year analyst in corporate banking. Does anyone have any tips/resources about the process to find another job in the same division but with better pay? I’m not too familiar with the “unspoken norms” of finance, but interviewing and networking with other firms (quite literally the people I’m competing against everyday) seems difficult to wrap my head around.

I am interviewing for a new IT Manager position. I started putting out soft feelers and then hit the hunt harder. The problem: I have one offer and need to give an answer by next Wednesday. I have two other opportunities that are in final steps but probably won’t have offers by next Wednesday. Both of the other offers will be higher pay but clearly are uncertain for offers. Do I accept the offer I have, which is a good one or wait for the other two to finalize and possibly miss out altogether?
