They are saying older creatives are just as good and contemporary but ALL their work in their site is tv spots that feel so dated and yes, old.
For those who still don’t get it:
AGENCIES THROW PEOPLE AWAY AT THEIR PRIME. WE PICK THEM UP.
We know the famous agency bait and switch. The team you met during the pitch turns out to be a bunch of younger, fresh ringers they brought in to close the deal. Now that it’s time to make the ads you need, it’s a completely different story. And you simply can’t shake the feeling your “creative director” still lives with cable. Cuz, damn! It looks like Suburbia in the Teams background and their kid keeps walking by with snacks.
We promise no creative working on your business will have more than 25 years of experience. Modern talent on every project. And don’t worry about time zones. We’re up at any hour.
It’s a great advertisement to the target audience- I’m not negating that. But yes, it does include ageism.

I don’t see it as mocking young people. I think it’s mocking the agencies that make someone CD with 4 years of experience.
OP, for every incredible 4-5 total YOE CD you’ve worked with I can name 100 incredible 15+ YOE CDs. Stop pretending there are a lot or even a handful of CDs with just a few years of experience under their belts. Name more than one. Or start with naming just one.
Other than the shop name, I love this idea. The bait n switch is a very true insight based on my experience.

Feel the same about the name. I am 52 and feel strong in body and mind, even better than in my 20's. Why normalize the old geezer stereotype. Beyond that I am thrilled someone is getting it together for us experienced creatives. I hope we get work out of it.
Agree this is ageism and tacky. Also tons of adults live at home with the rising costs of homes or due to family health issues.
It’s okay. You’ll understand when you’re older.
I am older. Still don’t understand.
Ew. Talk about overcorrecting

Selling experience is not ageism.
Selling experience while also stereotyping an entire younger generation of people and implying they are unprofessional and cannot be experts is ageism

I thought all of the older creatives had friends who hooked them up with jobs.
Isn’t this more like experiencism?
I love making up words too
That’s what you got out of that? Then they’re not for you. Get over it.
We had some good music in the 90s. What, you want more??
Sucks because it could have a been a great idea

So it's over bc of one line of copy on a LinkedIn post. Come awn.
Wow this is really tacky

I see how it's like when a woman wants to be treated like an equal but then man bashes. I guess it's like that. So really, it's just not good writing, rather than ageism.
This is a bizarre PickMe pitch that comes off really desperate lol
Yeah, interesting insight, but do you really build an “agency” around it?
Also, love to see an entitled boomer partner try and do shit without a junior AD doing deck design.
Grow up.
Hot take: older creative director who can't design their own deck to sell thinking is probably nowhere near as good as they think they are
Just so I’m clear, Gen X are boomers now right?
Because everyone seems to refer to older people in the biz as boomers, even though technically there aren’t any boomers in advertising.
Stupid jerks.
Hey, cuts both ways...we 50+'ers have been getting abused lately. Welcome to the club!
All that creative experience and the best they could come up with is "Geezer"?
Yikes – I get it, but who over the age of 40 wants to brand themselves like that.
Pro
Not me. I think it's a flaw they need to correct immediately. That's how they could get candidate links: Guys, we f*cked up when naming our agency/community of creatives on our roster. Help us correct our mistake. What agency name would you choose?
To all the young whipper snappers getting their panties in a wad about this - there’s a whole new agency called OK COOL that’s geared toward Millennials/Gen Alpha and the job descriptions there are ageist as well. You don’t hear us complaining about it. What are y’all so touchy and defensive when we call out being discriminated against because of age and you must demand that YOU TOO were also discriminated against? It really lacks self-awareness and empathy.
Why are you immediately assuming that the young people in this thread are the same ones who made or endorse OK COOL? Both of these agencies are cringe and ageist. Making people into a monolith is the problem, I'm not your enemy here.
"You don't hear us complaining about it." Uhh... I kinda do, right now. And it's not entirely unjustified either. But the irony in your comment is funny, lol.
