My resume got shortlisted for Operations Associate/Engineer-Amazon Managed Services role. I am an experienced AWS engineer with 5YOE.I feel like this role will be degrading in nature for me. Is it worth joining for this position. I would love to join Amazon based on my experience and skill set. But Not to some position which doesn't require AWS experience.

Go in with a number in mind and prepare a list of the value you’ve added (evolved role, extra responsibilities). You can also ask for your salary band ahead of the meeting and can use that as a reason for a market salary adjustment based on your current role if you’re below market value.
That’s helpful thank you! Yes I’m below value for market role and experience. I will definitely state my research found
One of my favorite books that have helped me negotiate salary increases is "Never Split The Difference." I recommend that book to anyone that wants to get a raise. It will help you get a raise and in other parts of your life too. Secondly, ask for it. You already have a no if you don't ask.
OOOh I haven't heard of this book. Thank you for this. I am adding this to my amazon cart now.
When I was ready for a raise I perused the Salary Negotiations bowl a bit and got a lot of great ideas. Mainly: know your worth. If you do the market research and ask for fair market value, there's really no reason why you should feel like you deserve less. If they can't pay you market value, they can't afford you, and it's time to look elsewhere.
Ahh thank you. I need to join that bowl. That would be really helpful.
