Good luck getting 1000+ per day as a producer. The highest rate I’ve seen anyone actually get is $1200/day. And that’s a former rock star HOP, in NY. Ask for $950, and at your level as a Senior producer you may get 8. But always aim high.
That work ethic is not going to last very long, I don’t think. But do you!
Typically your hourly rate x 2 is the equivalent of your annual rate.
So $60/hr = 120k/yr.
Of course, as a freelance you won’t have benefits, so add about 30k to that. 150 / 2 = 75/hr. I usually aim closer to 80-95/hr, just for negotiating purposes...
You also won’t get paid holidays, sick leave, and have to cover the time when you won’t have a gig, as you will still have bills to pay but there’s no guarantee you’ll be working full time... so that needs to be accounted for too.

You should be anywhere between $1000 - $1300 per day in NYC. I’m in Chicago and charge $900 for my 20 years +.
Ask around for others in your area. When I moved from Chicago to SF the change was pretty large, and I didn't know how to location adjust. Having the frank conversations w/ other FL producers with similar background, experience & years might feel weird at first, but it can become pretty empowering to know what others are doing. IE: A friend was making $700/day, while I was at $750. He then moved from agency to big tech a few years later and was making $1100/day. SUCH great info to have. Good luck!
A few people above are correct. Sure there’s the whale out there - and you can get 1200-1250, but more likely you’ll live in the world of 65-100/hr and 600-900/week.
You can make a living like that. Especially if stay busy.
$1200/day is the rockstar rate
