Bowl Leader
Hi there EP; I’m the Bowl Leader here, and heard from so many production moms in your shoes through the years that I put together the following deck. Other parents and producers chimed in to help add practical tips and advice, so take a read now and add your own down the road. Good luck with your shoot, and your supply!

What? You’re an EP!??? You’re involved with every aspect of your production! What the hell do you mean by “supply”? The production co takes care of everything as long as you have been clear on specs. Jesus! Unless, you have ZERO experience and was thrown into the deep end of the pool! My God!
Formula girl. Sorry but w the stress of a shoot and busy days I can’t imagine pumping. If you really can’t ween and stop maybe try those under bra pumps (they are pricey) and factor in extra shipping budget on the job and freeze and ship breast milk everyday. Also, you will need to prep before you leave to have extra at home. So hard to do. Good luck. Remember for a baby a good moto I live by is “fed is best”
For actual shoot days if you have a line producer you are comfortable telling they can help locate some space ahead of time that can be used or temporarily dedicated. Did this once for another team member I was with and we stuck a do not enter sign when the room was in use and we were commutative with each other internally when she needed to step away.
Have production provide you a fridge, bring your portable pump, wear it with your hands free pump bra. Put on a large jacket or shirt and come back to video village!
Some countries are weird about breast milk, obviously make sure it’s still frozen before you fly. The hotel will store it for you. Travel with lots of frozen ziploc bags to contain the breastmilk bags and their various destinations.
I’d ask them to make accommodations for you on set. If it becomes a discussion of overages your employer should cover costs. There’re a lot of great insulated travel thermoses and cooling systems to travel with.

Sorry for the hash tone. But your post reeks of inexperience, while I hustle every day to find simple freelance.
Senior Producer 1, just because you apologized doesn’t mean you’re forgiven. Now go grab your emotional support teddy bear and sit with the consequences of leading with your entitlement and misogyny served you.
Maybe you’re hustling to find simple freelance bc you’re not good at producing and you blame others for your shortcomings and immaturity.
I might add talking with the production company to look into shipping your liquid gold to your home at the end of the shoot. Or have some sort of freeze travel bag that you will have to check in, since they might not allow you to travel with it inside the plane cause of the “more than 1 once” thing.
Breast milk is exempt from quantity limits. They just do extra testing. Also, you’re allowed any amount of liquid if it’s frozen solid. That’s how I bring bottles of water through security.
This may help as part of your kit:

If there is a talent Moho- see if they can keep a room for just for you. Or a tent behind the production Moho with 4 sides and a big note saying to keep out. Sorry that I misread your post. Dumb male mistake.
You would benefit from reading the deck linked in this thread. Talent moho doesn’t cut it.
Great advice here and you might get even more in the moms of advertising bowl.
- take your gear. Piece of clothing, microwave cleaning bags
- speak to a lactation consultant about supply. Try power pumping and a regimen of fenugreek.
- ask for microwave access
- a separate or portable monitor so you don’t miss shots.
- door that is solid and locks with electricity.
- production rents you a medical grade pump and ships frozen home weekly
- keep nursing and don’t let the shoot stop you. All will be back to “normal” soon.
