Need some advice on my next career move. I'm 31, have an MBA and am currently a SC in Risk Advisory with no M&A experience. I am good at risk consulting work but don't find it very challenging or interesting. That said, I expect to get promoted to M next year.

Recently, I interviewed with another Big 4 firm for SC in CDD M&A team and have got an offer. I enjoyed doing the CDD case study, and I believe I'd do well in the role.

Might be an odd question: we have multiple great ideas and sources of funding. Would it make sense to build out a portfolio of the companies as a fund or to build them directly? Concerned about spreading too thin by pursuing them all but all have significant potential.
