Lol…left a job last year because I had to work with someone who came from Alliant who was convinced she was the smartest person on the planet. Um no hun, you worked at the firm that the rest of us laugh at….humble yourself, pull your head outta your ass, and learn what R&D tax is really all about. Karma’s a bitch and I can’t wait for the FBI to come for the rest of these Cracker Jack R&D firms. 😂
Never said it was Big 4. Far from it. You sound like a bitter AG alum. I’m sure you’re fitting in really well at PWC 😂
I worked there for about 4 years (quite a few years back now) and honestly nothing surprises me. I had coworkers get threatened with lawsuits after they left. Terrible stories made up about them. I was called into the bosses office to get interrogated when friends quit as to why. Told I couldn’t be friends with former employees. Told I was a bad example & didn’t drink enough of the kool-aid Even though I had the top metrics.
They had this coming… I checked their website out earlier today just to see what was up. Cybersecurity consulting ? 🤣🤣 no one there knows how to do that. I won’t be surprised if there’s some convictions, disbarments, bankruptcies etc.
All that to say, some of us did our time there, left on our own terms and have been really successful at starting their own consulting firms, setting up independent law practices, progressing at big 4 and other mid market firms in the R&D space. We aren’t all idiots - but some of our former bosses sure were.
You worked there before cyber security & think the people you formerly worked with doing R&D would be doing the cyber security? Are you stupid?
Damn, received a sketchy R&D tax credit report prepared by them during diligence once — glad we pushed our client to get an indemnity on it
Quite the opposite actually….they just pay more for SEO so they are always near the top of the list if you Google the credit…
Just for clarity, it was the IRS. But it was wild.. A literal scene from the wolf of Wall Street.
The company is evil.

No idea what happened, there has always been drama and former employees with nightmarish stories. I’ve always avoided the place. Local news and going concern saying the FBI raided them today. Just curious if any employees have some insight….
I’ve known lots of precious law school folks who have worked there and none stayed very long and I haven’t heard a single good thing. They tried recruiting me a time or two and it was extremely unconvincing
Been to their offices before and met their CEO, none of this surprises me. They are known for being aggressive. They hire ex-IRS Commissioners to make them look competent.
Had an old client that they took to tax court because if they lost the position then a large part of their practice would go down. They lost the case…
Coach
Never heard of them.
I know their ERC positions were extremely aggressive. Curious if that’s the rub. If so, they may be the first of many.
Former ag employee. No one on the inside knows the focus of the investigation yet, at least outside of leadership (none of which were actually in the building yesterday except for 1 from what I heard). We’ve suspected for years that the IRS was building a case. If it was 179D or ERC, everything that those practices did was replicated from R&D.

Are you still hiring though?
Saw a post on LinkedIn today that they were looking…
Oh shhhhiiittttt what happened!? Used to have friends that worked there lol
Yea what happened?
