I would make sure you're also taking HMB as creatine helps build muscle while HMB prevents muscle breakdown. And make sure you're getting enough protein
I be also use Optimum Nutrition Creatine Monohydrate. It’s reputable and not a gimmicky overpriced brand. If you pay more for creatine you’re typically just paying for the brand.

I’m not sure how much it helps with my muscle tone but I can tell you it helps me feel more mental clarity.

Been on the sauce since 2009. Obvious difference but specifically added water weight. Generally, your body produces it naturally and you’re adding to it for recovery. Granted, I’ve been doing this since back in the day when my Jack3d had mdma in it and I was on 2 scoops/workouts per day. That and my weigh protein was $40/5 lb tub.
Creatine is one of the most studied supplements out there, and its effects are well-documented. More recent studies have indicated positive effect in brain health and function in higher doses, so I upped my intake to 10g a day to see if anything notable happens.
Don't waste money on a higher priced brand name, you would literally be paying more just for the name on the bottle. Gummies are notorious for being under-dosed, I suggest picking up bulk creatine monohydrate. I prefer Optimum Nutrition powder in bulk, I simply mix mine in my morning protein shake. I've been buying their protein for what seems like decades, and I am comfortable with the quality and taste (protein taste, creatine is flavorless).
What everyone else said about creatine is good- just wanted to add that it can optimize your muscle growth but if you’re not working out and/or eating enough (esp protein) to build muscle, it won’t magically fix those issues
Give it a week or two to get to peak muscle saturation before you begin to judge, creatine's effect builds over time, it's not like a pre-workout drink that kicks in on the way to the gym.

Alright I’m back for advise- on day 3 of creatine supplements.
Feeling a bit uneasy for a couple of hours after taking it - is this normal?
Took it before bedtime, and had restless sleep (usually not so). Changed to AM, and noticing a mild headache. Does it take time to adjust or it the awful awful taste or should I take it with food?
I always take it with food or mixed into a drink and don’t taste it at all.
I take it during the day either before or after work out. I have trouble falling asleep sometimes but not sure if it’s due to that? Magnesium before bed helps with that though.
