Is $180k OTE competitive compensation for a Head of Product Design in a startup? Remote role. East Coast US hours. Managing a team (hands on too) so likely not a checkbox 40h work week.

I know that people say it’s all about story, but with a certain gpa/gmat score is there a “floor” that you’re safe on? For example would someone with 4.0/780 (not me) be pretty much assured at least 1 M7? Or is there a reasonable chance that all M7s will reject them? Or is their floor just lower (T15 for example)?

Nice bowl to avoid lowering the average in the US-centric threads. Anybody else finding that with the lack of pay rises this year, it’s become even harder to benchmark? The package is 43k, which I find very little considering my 3YOE in consulting.

How does comp change over time in industry? Managed to get a few offers, but they are all lateral moves on my current compensation. Also aware my compensation at a T2 increases my c.10-15% p.a. by just performing. What’s the trajectory like in industry? Am I going to regret this move? Thanks all
