Any good books/free courses out there that give a taste of what HF/PE work is like? Not really looking to switch from tech, but curious about the hype around these finance jobs (besides the high pay)

Anyone pursued a MSL in Taxation degree? Did it open up additional opportunities? Trying to get into tax planning/structuring but don’t have a JD (not interested in practicing law). Currently CPA/MST.

I graduated in May of 22. I transitioned from being an intern to being a full time counselor, now for 6 months. I feel like I might be catching my agency at a tough time, but as an employee it doesn’t seem to be trying anything to keep me here besides the occasional ‘motivational’ posts from the administrative team. I have been working as a Sr BA with 3 YOE for Uber. I have the following offers

1. Zomato : Product Analyst , 21 LPA all fixed

2. Meesho: Snr. Business Analyst, 20 Fixed + 12 Esops (3yrs vesting)

3. Uber: Manager (L3) - In process (mostly they'll match to retain)

4. Google: Product Analyst - In process (I'm confident I'll have something but process would last longer, and I have will have to take a call on above 3)

Hey guys, I am already at 2 years in Transfer Pricing straight out of my Bachelor’s degree. Do you think I should consider doing a Master’s soon? How important would you say is that in my career progression?

I'm a third year plaintiff's employment law attorney and I'm looking to move to defense, preferably still in employment law. I received an offer from a midsize firm that primarily focuses on PI with little-to-no employment law practice, so I'll have a bit of a learning curve. Offer is $90k, billable hours of 2100. Is this reasonable? I'm dead-set on leaving my current job, and this would be a $20k pay increase - which makes me believe I'm leaning towards taking it for those reasons only.

Got hired 3 years ago- newly created staff accountant role with the plan that it’ll go into a senior and then manager role. 1.5 years in I get a title promotion to senior, told I’ll get more duties, start supervising AP, and get monetary promotion to match next year. Got way more work, but nothing else promised within that year. Told next money bump would be manager role (no raise for senior still) and I need to take on more and start supervising AP. Again, seeing nothing…time to leave?

What modeling courses would people recommend? Looking for a more detailed course

Switched practice, found that I HATE the group dynamics. The work is dumb and not profitable. How soon is reasonable to ask to switch out, have to leave firm now?
