Is moving from Seattle worth it? I've heard the freeze is still in affect in Portland but I'm more worried about prices. I WFH mostly and pull down like 120k a year, Seattle is getting crazy expensive rent wise and crazy full. I'd like to find somewhere new but stick to the PNW.

What kind of companies pay more than $200k base and what practice areas? Remote or Texas. I’m a new attorney between M&A and L&E, but I’m willing to switch practice areas for the best exit options in the future (4-5 yoe).

What things do you do at your company that actually helps improve culture?

If everything is done using WFH.. then why there is need sending employees to onsite?

I’m struggling at the moment to gauge how much I should be getting paid in my position as i feel I’m heavily underpaid for the work I do, which includes managing digital marketing operations across 12+ countries, manage the studio/creatives plus lead on any campaigns and strategies, etc. I’m also remote UK-based although my company is international. I am an Senior iOS developer. YOE is 8.5. Currently getting 13 LPA. Getting promotion in a month with 25 to 30 percent hike which comes nearly 16.8 LPA. I cannot able to relocate now due to family dependency reasons. I heard iOS developer salary market is good. I am having a very good work life balance in the current company. I am in a confusion. Should I look for opportunities with PWFM or stay in current company? Am I making low pay as per market trends?

I’ve interviewed for several positions AVP and VP roles since October of ‘21 internally with Citi. Didn’t take any of them because it would have been only $8k - $11k salary bumps. For double or even triple the work. So I’m leaving to go from $70k to $235k in September at a competing firm for a VP level role. The moral of the story: hop if you need to. No reason to stick around for low pay and not being compensated fairly by the company that expects “loyalty” from you.

I left an omnicom agency for a Publicis one. My new benefits cost me 250 a paycheck (medical, dental, vision) for my spouse and kids. At omnicom it was 630 per check. That’s fuckin robbery right there.
