Any idea how much I should be paying to paint 1800 sq feet house interior, ceilings, trim, and doors in HCOL?

Including paint or are you buying paint yourself? are you planning to go with a more large scale painting company, local painting co, or “handy man” type?

Both of these factors can make the price range from $1500-$5000

I received quotes so far for $8k-$20k including paint. This seems high as I thought it would be $5k.

So including paint would definitely push the price up, especially depending on the brand/quality they use. Additionally, other attributes can add cost (e.g. number of colors, surface type, trim type, existing colors they are covering up, number of coats, etc. it could certainly go above the range I mentioned.
