As a defense firm that is forced to use one by certain carriers they’re horrible

From a defense firm, as well. The firm uses a few of these vendors. I have experience with one of those vendors. Very fast turn around and responsive. But they are expensive.

Do you often partner with other freelance creatives? I'm slowly building a roster of freelancers in different disciplines to pass on some of my private practice work.
Here's why:
1. Increases my capacity and shortens my turnaround time.
2. Other freelancers are usually experts in the area that I don't want to actively work on myself
3. I get to specialist on the parts of the project I like most and lead the creative direction for the rest.
4. Get to create great relationships with other talents

In your practice, do you object when defending a examination under oath? Or make some sort of statement at the beginning that you reserve the right to make objections at a later date should the insured decide to file suit? I’ve only done one of these before and it’s been a few years.

In a personal injury case (involving issues not pertaining to a motor vehicle accident), where only one carrier for defendants has appeared thru counsel, how does plaintiff settle the case?

I just got an email that an old boss jumped off the building and committed suicide yesterday afternoon. He had a successful law practice and appeared (outwardly) to be fine. This triggered a lot of thoughts about how unhappy I have been my entire time in this profession, how unhappy everybody I’ve encountered has also been (against or working with), and how much more stressful and difficult it is grinding out a living every year practicing law. Suggestions for healthy ways to cope with stress?

For Plaintiff's attorneys, how big is your caseload? What kind of cases are the majority of them and are they in suit? I am currently handling 150+ mostly MVAs and premise liability cases, just about all in suit, (on top of about 10 DUIs and other small traffic matters) and I feel like I'm drowning and looking to jump ship.
