Any rule of thumb around how the Google TC for a certain role type (e.g. S&O, PM, Ops, Sales, etc.) varies by geography within US? For example, relative to HCOL (SF, NYC), how much lower would the TC be for Chicago or Austin/Dallas for the exact same role?

Negotiation in new offer: I’m moving from fully remote to fully in office (with chance of hybrid later) offer for associate director in quality in pharma for 170k base, 18% bonus and 75k equity. I’ve asked for a sign on bonus as I’m not eligible for annual next year and will be missing my current jobs bonus. I should hear tomorrow (asking for 28k). Thoughts about the offer? Switching from commission to salary!

I’m considering a less sales-oriented role that doesn’t pay commission. The new role will have a higher base but lower overall earning potential.

Hi everyone, have a final informal interview in a couple weeks with someone I’d be working with routinely. Was told that it’s the final step but have also read on here that there’s a hiring committee interview. Is this for everyone, or should I expect to be done after this upcoming one?

I’ve applied to 3 program manager roles with google and even though I feel I’m over qualified, I’m not getting any interviews or even a screening call from a recruiter. I got NTD for 2/3 already.

One competing offer (that is lower) and only MBB promotion to Engagement manager in a few months as leverage point. Any fish guidance on how the offer fares up / how to proceed / what comp I should push for?

Got a verbal confirmation for an offer from recruiter. Now she is negotiating my pay with the compensation team instead of me. I thought I had to do the negotiations with that team?
