Away is obviously so common now, but the quality is stellar and has a warranty. Minimalistic, yet highly functional
Briggs & Riley - unbeatable warranty inconspicuous look and the compacting tech is the best I’ve ever seen I can do two weeks in a small carryon.

Thx for the rec
I’m a big fan of TUMI. I’d probably choose to invest in a Rimowa if I traveled more however. Briggs & Riley is also very popular (and high quality + cost effective)
Travelpro. I’ve had tumi and rimowa and travel pro has been the best bang for your buck
Here’s my unpopular opinion: I have the Away bigger carry on and find it overpriced for what it offers. For reference I think I paid somewhere around $280 in total including the battery insert and bag tag. Now they are even more expensive ($325). One big plus is the warranty, I thought this was great at first but I am starting to think that the downsides outweigh the good. Some of my personal downsides:
1. how heavy it is compared to other carry-ons (I’ve had samsonite and no-brand carry-ons that are simply lighter) I expected it to be more heavy because of the battery, but even when I have it out, it’s still heavier than I expected.
2. It does not fit much more compared to the no brand I had from TJX or other carry-ons (samsonite) that I’ve had. I thought I would be able to fit much more but at the end of the day the size of all carry-ons is relatively similar so there’s a limit.
3. The cheap material (easily scratched on the outside and looks literally dirty and bad after a few uses, even using the magic eraser they give you to treat scratches)
4. If you pack it full the handle gets stuck going up and down.
5. If you fully close the battery lid you will almost always break a nail trying to open it.
I returned mine for every reason on this list. I got my bag before the pandemic and I was struggling to fit four days worth of clothes and the bag didn’t expand. I also scratched it on an screw and there was no coming back from that. They let me keep the battery and all the accessories so I’m not mad about that. It looks cool but if I’m going to spend that much money on a piece of luggage, it’ll be for a travelpro

Love my Tumi 19 Degree Aluminum carryon.
A consulting staple 👀😂
Away bigger carry on. Have packed 2 weeks to Greece in it, have also packed multiple suits in addition to clothes for a boys trip that led directly into a client trip. Highly recommend
How did it work in terms of wrinkling for suits or button ups?

When traveling with a suit, do you all just use a garnet back, fold it up, and put it in your suitcase?
