Any tips on how to start and prepare my MBA Application? I don’t plan on applying till 2022 as I want to attend in 2023. What are things I can do to prepare now in order to have a strong application? Background: I’m aiming for HSW, M7, and top 15. I’m currently a Staff at EY within Business Consulting. I graduated from a Top 25 Business Undergrad - majoring in Finance and minor in Advertising with a 3.71 GPA. I want to pivot towards PM or Corporate Strategy in Tech, at Toyota, or Nike. TIA!

Generally masters programs aren’t looked too highly upon b/c most are considered “cash cows” for the schools (i.e. schools accept a lot of international students who pay them full tuition for the 1 year masters). But they usually don’t hold much weight after you graduate. I know a lot of students who received their Masters from Columbia and couldn’t find a job after graduation. Those students usually have to compete against other undergrads for the same entry level positions. However, if your goal is to get more of a specialized/technical expertise in one area, such as data science or statistics, masters might be the way to go. Otherwise MBA holds a lot more weight in terms of career development
