Say you’re an Assurance Senior 3 and want to transfer soon as you hit Manager back to your hometown office. Should you secure the manager promotion at your current office first or go ahead and initiate the transfer at S3? I’m scared that they won’t accept me over their current S3s and so I think the safer bet is to make manager first then transfer. Deloitte EY PwC
Also, how desperate are firms for Managers these days? I know seniors and staff are in demand but I rarely hear about Managers.
For PwC fishes who left recently, how did you consolidate wealth builder into 401k within benefits express to avoid the 20% federal tax withholding that was described in the benefits package? I tried to do this online but it didn’t show as an option except to rollover to an existing IRA or take a final distribution. Do I need to call benefits express?

Awm is some of the most boring type of clients to audit. I would avoid at all costs
Agree with this. Regretting my life choice ever since
I’m in NJ office and all clients are in NYC. Everyone on my team is in Deloitte NYC, so office doesn’t really make a dif. Maybe stick with Deloitte NJ to avoid nyc tax.
I started virtually so haven’t been to any office yet haha
Most of my team is in NJ but I am in NYC. The client is based in NJ. It really doesn’t matter and if the commute is longer discuss your travel options with your manager or partner.
Keep in mind that even if you are based out of NJ you will likely be put on NYC clients, especially for financial services
Thanks for the information! I guess I’ll probably have to move if most of my clients based in NYC.
