Any tips for navigating networking events as a young attorney? I find it difficult to know who to talk to and what to talk about so I end up avoiding the events entirely.

I’m a new third year associate working at a satellite office of a midsize firm. I feel like there aren’t enough hours in the day to truly get good at my job or the multiple areas of law I’m asked to practice. What are some things you’ve done to gain confidence in your practice area?

Any advice for monitoring employees while working from home? Our phone system works from an app in our cells and we have remote access to our files and computers. So should be business as usual but doesn’t seem so. Either they aren’t working or they aren’t being productive. Either way, looking for some ideas to keep the staff productive and accountable.

I get interesting cases and most of the partners I work with are great. This new position would be a $25k salary increase (maybe more) and I have heard work life balance there is great.
