My base loc is Bengaluru, but currently I am not mandatorily required to work from office, and have been working from home since I joined Deloitte in July. Should I talk to my manager and go back to my hometown Kolkata and work from there? Staying in PG all day and working from here is not quite feasible for me. Suggest pls. Deloitte India

This seems like an easy choice.
It’s a very hard choice! Lol landlord/tenant sounds incredibly boring and I’m being very well mentored where I’m at currently, majority of the partners are really great to work with and they love me.
I’ve only handled landlord tenant cases when absolutely necessary. I would say it really depends on if you’re landlord or tenant side and who your clients are (like property management companies, etc.). I personally didn’t like LT at all and found that area of law to be chaos (I’m in ID as well). I would really think about the new firm and what clients you would have there and make the decision based on that. Also, do you think your earning potential will be greater where you are, or at the new place? That would be a factor I would consider. 25k to me is incentive to move on.
Thanks so much this is super helpful! I’m getting cases I enjoy more and more so I’m very hesitant to leave if I might be bored or dislike LT or the firm. Looks like I have some research to do and a lot to think about.
