Anyone able to give me a referral for Facebook (Meta) or Google?
I am a paralegal with 8 years of experience in the legal industry (+ Fortune 500). I was just diagnosed with a serious health condition and I’m looking for new remote position, that is challenging and offering high pay and benefits. Facebook (Meta) & Google currently have openings for positions that align with my skills. I kind ask that you simply share some tips, if you are unable to offer a referral. THANKS!

Hi Guys,
I have joined Ofss 1 week back and on second day itself I was allocated to project and onboarding WIP I received mail stating to report back to office 3 days per week under hybrid work model policy. Is this compulsory my base location is 2600 km from my current location as I am joining the citi project its seems difficult for me to grasp things though I have only 1 yr of prior exp by I think my team is expecting a lot so moving to new city and learning at same time is not possible .

When you’ve accomplished all the work that you’ve set out to do that day, call it a day. Pencils down.
What if you overshoot every single day of your life :(
I literally just pick a time between 5 and 6, depending on my meetings. There will always be more work to do and as long as I feel prepared for the next day, I go relax. I physically shut my laptop, and that action really helps end the day for me
I would add that I usually end my workday with a social email/ping to at least one colleague. It’s been nice to have that to conclude the day.

7pm. That's when my girlfriend gets home from work, when I start dinner, and when things stop beings today's problem and start being tomorrow's.

Well played gf. Well played.
When my soul has left my body and my eyes are dryer than the Sahara, only then can I take a 10 minute break.
Just kidding - we have minimum charge hour goals for each week during busy season. So long as I am on track for that as well as on track for getting my tasks done, I call it a day around 8/8:30 every day. I usually work 11 hours a day and call it around 8/8:30 sometimes later depending on if I took a lunch or dinner break. I usually just check in around 30 minutes before I want to sign off to see if there’s anything urgent that I need to turn in and let my senior know I’m heading out.
Oh, I do this so I can have my entire Sunday and majority of Saturday free to spend with my husband. We take a dinner break each night for an hour usually and then get back together after the last leg of work. We also go for a mid-day run about 3 days during the week.
I try to balance my life but I do have certain expectations to meet at work as well.
Pro
At hour 8, unless something is due soon
5pm. Then I go hang out with my family. I’ll check email after that for any emergencies, though.
I work 9-5/8-4 with an hour lunch. If needed, I'll pull an evening or a weekend afternoon. I'm organized, diligent and do great work. But being salary based and not bonus incentivized, there are no monetary benefits to working late. Any time I spend on my craft after is specifically training or learning only to further my career.
Learn to work for yourself first.

8 to 10 hours usually, I balance my work with meetings and know by 10 AM what I must accomplish by 1 PM adjusting accordingly to complete urgent issues and plan again for next day by 3 PM. I try to not work over 14 hours but I will do so because of %% raises. And bonuses. I connect with coworkers and work friends throughout my day so I feel very connected

Someone recently said you need an end time and no matter what emails, tasks or deliverables are left you sign off.
It's been so so hard but I'm trying to stick to it. Otherwise not sure how much longer I could last at this job it I'm being honest.

When I feel like it
After 8 hours. If I start at 8:30 I will stop at 5:30 unless there is something urgent. I schedule either walking at that time or eating early dinner so I will really stop working. Or else work never ends.

When I’m working from my studio, I stop by 7 or 8, unless I’m up against a deadline or I have a virtual event earlier in the evening. 9 PM is my deadline for sending emails/texts/calling people back in my personal life and volunteering, so gotta wrap up before then. I track my hours in Excel to make sure I’m hitting my hours. No need to kill myself for OT I’m not being paid. It’s important to have a “commute” before and after work. Starting Keurig in the morning or pouring a cup of tea. Turning on lights and music post-work. Whatever works best for you! I’ll usually end earlier if I’m at my parents’ or boyfriend’s place.
