Just do what you need to survive. Don’t worry too much about creating bad habits. If your babe needs to be cuddled to sleep, go for it. If babe needs to be nursed to sleep, do what you gotta do. It’ll last for a couple of weeks and then you can go back to your routines and back to normal.
It’s so hard but I promise it does pass!
☝🏻100% this. Try to be as consistent as possible with your bedtime routine, but do what you need to do.
Sleep training
This 👆
I feel like this is controversial but just straight up sleep training a la Dr. Michel Cohen. We probably got lucky with a good sleeper but it worked for my baby at 10 weeks and so far haven’t had regression (he’s now 11 months.)
Hang in there. Stick to as good sleep hygiene as you can - routine, wake windows, and putting baby down awake if you can. Otherwise just try to survive.
Huckleberry app saved us. Can’t remember when we started it and if it’s appropriate for a baby that young, but definitely one to keep in your back pocket. Stay strong!
Huckleberry is so great! We used it for most of the first year. It’s helpful from about 2 months onward.
We swear by the snoo. You can rent it for a month or two but it helped us get through months 4 and 5.
We have it ... my son doesn’t sleep thru the night with it. It’s pretty rough.
