When is it worth it to take a pay cut? Received an offer from a startup today, the salary they are offering me is 30% below my current salary - offered them my range during the interview but they stuck to their initial salary when they sent me the offer. No 401k, no WFH, but they have unlimited PTO. They are also offering me 10k shares of common stock (25% vested 1 year after the date vesting begins and the remaining on a monthly basis over the next 3 years). How does this translate to $ amount?

Since we’ve been remote since last year, I took the opportunity to travel nationally and get my job done. I was recently informed that I cannot work outside the MSA of the address (Chicago) mentioned in my H1B and hence just returned back to Chicago. I am currently on resignation with a bunch of offers. So I've to make decision specifically in regards with :
JPMC : 20 LPA (Fixed) and 3.9 LPA variable+benefits
Legato :. 24 LPA all fixed along 1 Lakh of benefits like free cab, shift allowance, free health insurance etc.

For JPMC I've to relocate and unknown areas can be costly in initial months plus even one visit back to my home via Delhi will cost 15-20k. While Legato is giving Gurgaon and it's like my 2nd home just 200km far.

I started in the industry in 07 for an institutional trading desk and then the recession hit and I got out of sales for management. I was in insurance sales for 2 years prior. 15 years in, I am 100% burnt out and currently taking a 2 week vacation. My wife and I are discussing moving to a new city to get a fresh start but I don’t know if I want to continue my MD path or to leave the industry all together.
