Has anyone successfully made a transition from IBD as an analyst/associate directly to MBB consulting without an MBA? Currently trying to make this move - any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks!

For the one year of work experience requirement to get CPA license in CO, when did you qualify? Do they just do 1 year from DOH or do you need to have charged 1,800 hours of client work?

Few days before of my joining date, i came to know that the technology stack from customer got changed and customer had no requirement for which i was hired. Edward Jones advisor with 30 million AUM and roughly 250k gross production. Been there for almost 4 years. Got an offer at Merrill Lynch to take over a 100 million dollar retirement transition plan in 5 years, or to join a 5 person Merrill Lynch team that manages a lot.

Pros to EJ: Have my own office, a year or two away from partnership, great office setting and client satisfaction.

Pros to Merrill: Bump in compensation, additional tools and services w banking, ability to take over assets.
