I had the weirdest dream. Criminals were put in a gated community under observation and they had to successfully fake their own death to get out. They were given too many drugs and alcohol. However, firm X’s offer validity about to run out. Would you: (1) accept X’s offer now but rescind later if Y converts (2) ask X for additional time to decide (they’re “prestigious” and may not offer additional time...) (3) Play straight, decline X and hope Y converts (4) any other creative ideas ...???

What does a person do who doesn’t find any industry accounting jobs interesting? I’ve been trying to leave for 3-4 years and the only thing that interests me is people focused roles such as sales. I considered recruiting but I’m jaded based on my interactions with most. Public accounting is a decent spot for me but I’m wanting a more consistent schedule of 40-50 and the self centered/dog eat dog culture of my firm continues to crush my soul more and more the longer I stay.
