Anyone else completely lost studying for bec? I’m hoping the exam is super easy like everybody says and Becker just is overdoing it

Better to be overprepared! According to people I know who have taken it, Becker is pretty representative of the actual exam.

Don't stress out yourself too much. Take it easy and don't push yourself too much on it's limits. Reason why students often fail their exams because their brain is already fried and exhausted that they tend to blacked out unable to answer even basic questions.

Nothing wrong with too much studying, can never go wrong with being over prepared

Hello! I have a two part question: 1) is it worth it to obtain an SHRM specialty credential if I don’t have the broader SHRM certification? 2) has anyone gotten the People Analytics or Talent Acquistion credential? If so, how valuable was it from a learning perspective? Do you feel it significantly contributed to your knowledge in either area? Thank you!

I’m hoping someone might have some ideas about this- I’m currently five years out of law school with a clerkship, a tax LLM, 3 years of experience doing transactional tax work and a few months of EC/VC experience (which I recently switched to from tax). I like the EC/VC work, but I don’t know how long I want to stay in biglaw. Can anyone weigh in on how employers for in-house roles might look at my experience in a year or two?

Oof. True or not true? I don't know if I would still make the same choice if I knew how things were going to end up. I tend to be on the "PBM's ruined pharmacy" brigade. If you knew then what you know now, would you still go to pharmacy school?

This is my first job in a large corporate company, and I’m trying to gauge how long it normally takes to move from entry level to another internal position in the insurance industry. I have been applying internally for a year now and I am wondering if this is normal or if my company is just slow? I am a top performer, with great metrics, and I have some wonderful connections I’ve made who support me. I just can’t seem to move up. How long did it take you to move up? How many tries did it take?

Working my way up the corporate ladder. I have so many thoughts on leadership and want to initiate changes in the departments I work with. But at this level it's so difficult. Ppl are so resistant to change.

My key learning thus far in my career: Noone gives a shit about your ideas unless you're a head honcho. Real change is brought about from a position of authority.
