Anyone else love practicing law? Like get an endorphin release from engaging with legal issues? I have a job that lets me do some really specialized work, but also has other areas of law that are much broader. Despite the stress, it makes me love what I do.

Anyone else feel this way? What do you do?

I'll admit there are times when something will come together in my mind and I suppose I am experiencing the classic dopamine rush. And there are also times that aren't as exciting, but it's more like a calm gratification that I did something well or helped someone. Dealing with estate law usually isn't too dramatic but it does offer those sorts of small excitements.

As one does.

I love getting lost in legal research, especially when I'm able to find caseload that's exactly what I'm looking for. I also love that feeling you get when a court rules in your favor.

I do enjoy it and worry that AI is going to take that part away from us.

I worry that our role will shift more and more to prompting and iterating with a chat bot rather than creating.

I am lead counsel on a case - we’re suing 3 businesses and my supervisor is a named incorporator of one of the businesses although he is not an officer. He is asking me to bring the file and meet with him about the progress of the case. I reminded him of the conflict and he stated that the conflict was resolved because he also has a claim against 1 of the companies that he recently filed separately. I don’t see how that resolved the conflict…and he’s fully pressuring me to meet. How to respond?
