Anyone else love practicing law? Like get an endorphin release from engaging with legal issues? I have a job that lets me do some really specialized work, but also has other areas of law that are much broader. Despite the stress, it makes me love what I do.

Currently making 180 TC at a large bank and have an offer from a FAANG for 260 TC. Salary is not much different (165) but bonus/equity structure is decent. fully remote, dope company etc. I’ll be moving laterally in terms of title but I get the impression the scope/impact is larger and leveling is different in tech… no brainer?

Anyone have any affordable case management software recommendations? I’m looking for something a bit non-traditional as I work for a small nonprofit. I am lead counsel on a case - we’re suing 3 businesses and my supervisor is a named incorporator of one of the businesses although he is not an officer. He is asking me to bring the file and meet with him about the progress of the case. I reminded him of the conflict and he stated that the conflict was resolved because he also has a claim against 1 of the companies that he recently filed separately. I don’t see how that resolved the conflict…and he’s fully pressuring me to meet. How to respond?

Anyone know when Ch. 7 BKs must close by? Is this changed by when there are adversary proceedings (alleged fraudulent transfers made to a bank for CC payments)? Asking for my friend who is unfortunately involved bc of his parents, who are the debtors (he isn’t a defendant or a debtor in this, but the payments were made to a CC in his name—a CC he didnt know was opened in his name).
