Anyone else moved from big 4 into MBB and just had their imposter syndrome amplified by a magnitude of 10?

Does anyone else worry about their big 4 career for not being the most apt at small talk. I'm worried I'm not the most memorable member of my team for my clients and what it would mean going forward.

Is it possible for someone with anxiety to have a career at MBB? Anyone currently in this situation? How do you cope?

Any advice on how to switch from big 4 to tier 1 consulting firms like BCG and MCK?

Hi all- My SO is currently at a Big4 & was initially preparing for S&O roles at GCP but given the high number of ex MBB consultants hired, they believe its just more competition to get the offer & to eventually get promoted over time.

Instead, they have decided to pursue program manager or cloud consultant roles, which they feel might have a lower barrier to entry from an assessment standpoint. Not sure if the bowl agrees but would like to get your thoughts, thanks!

Is it hard to get into Salesforce? Big 4 consultant with 10 yoe, mostly in ERP/CRM implementation and program/project management, have Salesforce Admin cert but not much hands on experience due to mostly management exp, looking into Director TPM roles - should I apply? Or should I wait until I somehow gain more hands on SF experience?

Plan to go to B-school in 3 years (1 year out of UG now). Long term goal is entrepreneurship. Have offers at a MBB firm for a generalist consultant role and at FAANG for a strategy role. FAANG offer is slightly higher (though both are a 50+% bump on my current comp). Both would have me reset to entry level. Which one should I take?

My company is charging gst on notice period buyout..I have never heard of it.

I’ve accepted an offer from a firm. Had to revise my joining date and the HR sent an email confirmation for the revised doj. I received an onboarding portal link from another HR, on their portal it’s mentioned my joining is in January which is even earlier than the joining date I received before on my OL which I got revised later on. The HR isn’t even reachable, they don’t reply to mails or pick calls. Don’t know what to do.

I currently work in a Chief Internal Auditor role. I want to get a certification focused on IT audit both for knowledge, gaining credibility with my stakeholders in the IT audit space, and for when I look for a new role. I don’t have / won’t be able to get sufficient IT audit experience for the CISA designation at this stage. What designations, courses, or other options would you suggest?

Software sales folks earning commissions based on MRR as customers are invoices- Do you get paid commission for deals you closed even after your employment ends?

Need suggestions: A newbie in ERP, Want to push for a cert to be specialized, but unsure which one to pursue that is worth the money and time:

Making the move to BCG as a lateral associate hire, start date in mid-May. I’ve had plans to take a summer trip in early June with friends all year long, how acceptable is it to take 3 or 4 days of PTO within your first month at the firm?
