Anyone else over 50 trying to get a new in house job? Been in house pharma for 15 years and was let go. It’s been a year and i have applied to over 400 jobs, about half passed on my candidacy and the other have did not respond at all. I had 50 interviews, 30 second round, 15 third round, One job actually negotiated terms for employment and then decided to withdraw before the formal offer was sent out. The people that actually got the jobs were all in their 30’s. Discrimination?

One interview per eight applications is a stellar ROR in today’s legal job market. The fact that there is even such a thing as “third round interviews” tells you how hard it is as an applicant these days.

Some of these other posters should be asking you for pointers instead of flaming you.

Long post alert; I have been interviewing with a b4 for a senior con role since Mar end. Cleared all the rounds including case study and got strong rating as well as good feedback. Fast forward to last week, the talent POC calls me up and informs that she has asked the business if the position is still open, because now they just need the business approval to roll out the offer. I immediately felt demotivated as to ‘why now’ after all rounds have been cleared (continued in the comment below)

Any advice on how to pick the best company for me when offered a position from more than 1 company? I've been interviewing extensively with 4 companies, and I believe 2 are getting ready to send offers. If I receive more than 1 offer - how do I choose? I compared benefits, pros/cons, compared them on Glassdoor, questioned them about growth opportunities, asked about their culture.....anything I am missing? Any input is appreciated. Thanks!
