Guys, a query from me - got an offer from a reputed renewable industry company so wanted to know if I'll be going downhill or uphill in my career. Note: Position is in Europe, naturally way better money than India, and its an ex client wanting me to join them. He is keen to get me in.

What are your book recommendations?
Guys there’s this boot camp that I came across that trains people to get jobs in Top consulting firms and has a fee plan wherein you pay once you get placed. I just wanted to know if someone here has any experience with this ?

It's not a good firm and they are not committed to growth. I would highly recommend it.

Referring to RB US only
The model is to hire new people instead of retain people, unfortunately management is fine to burn and churn their staff. This is short sighted as new staff don’t know what they are doing and Principals end up PM projects instead of selling.
More than 1/3 of the US staff have joined in the past year, how do they expect to deliver good work when staff doesnt have enough experience? The weight will only become heavier for those who stay to pass on knowledge
I do not think that you are alone. I know a lot of people who are upset about promotions and are planning on leaving
The company’s promotions have completely separated from rewarding strong performance since the pandemic
No, same story, different year. The benefit of new joiners and turnover is MT can repeat the same story
As a person who got promoted, i still agree with the fact that many that get promotions are very weak. Leave us and save yourself
More like 25%. It was about 20% this time around. It should’ve been higher given the company’s full year performance.
When is your bonus? Start looking now, the market is too hot for you to be treated the way you are!
In addition the holiday party ended up being a COVID super spreader
To be fair, I think the firm took the right steps in terms making sure everyone was tested and signed waivers. What would've been better if to have people show positive/negative results to HR. But I think they did a better job than most other companies who hosted holiday parties and didn't take any of the same covid precautions.

Roland Berger US is the backwater hinterland of RB. If you want to see RB at its best, learn German and move to DACH.
Dm me for Deloitte!
Haven’t heard about anyone leaving, time will tell I guess
Is this the case just with Roland Bergers, can’t say - most likely everywhere it’s same - promotions go to favorites, or some specific categories that everyone is promoting these days - for hard working honest professionals , there is no room for growth .
Anyways if you are not happy, just move !
