Hi Folks, I have recently joined Thoughtworks as applicable developer consultant. Currently I am having 2.7 year of experience. Just curious to know following information 1. Hike cycle and average hike percentage 2. Criteria for promotion to senior consultant 3. Average Hike percentage during promotion
Thank in advance for the reply ☺️
Hi there. Ex Deloitte Sr Mgr here, currently in tech pre sales (SaaS / MarTech). Recently spoke to both Salesforce and Adobe recruiters for roles that I thought were lateral moves (Sr SA / Sr SC), therefore I did not proceed with the selection process. The recruiters from both companies told me they typically hire at that level, and people are considered for promotion to Principal in 1 to 2 years. I found that odd. Is that right? What’s the typical TC for SAs and SCs there? (15+ yrs exp).

Moneys meant to be spent, be reasonable but if you don’t enjoy the money you make why are you working? Treat yourself! You are a king my guy
I always plan a trip, while spending money on things is nice, I think experiences especially to a unique place or abroad you will never forget. However, I am planning after completing my first major project buying myself a nice watch. Being able to look down at the wrist and be reminded of all the hard work that got you the timepiece is also something I think is special.
A lot easier to explore cities, hike mountains, or travel in general when you are younger so if you have the money and are responsible with money better to travel.

I'm pretty similar. I spend very little on myself. But I spent a little on myself for my promotion. For my last, I bought myself a nice meal, and a few books I've been wanting
I second planning a trip! Weekend getaways and making memories is always great, especially if you don’t get a chance to do it often

Congrats! 35M dink life here. Celebrating major accomplishments is very important to your well being. For last promo, I bought my dream car. Continue to save and prioritize but invest in yourself. For my next bump, I’ll sign up for flying lessons

What’s your demographic?
I bought a nice camera
I bought myself an $800 bottle of whiskey.
24F who also just got promoted. I’m traveling a decent amount for work now and promised myself I’d also plan my first vacation in years soon, so I invested in a $1k Away luggage set. As someone who also has issues “splurging” on myself, and if you’re thinking of getting something material, suggest you invest in something practical but of high quality. At least, that’s how I justified this purchase/treat to myself lol
Congratulations on the promotion!

Last year I was in your same exact spot. Trust me do a trip, one you can attach the promotion too and make memories on.
