Currently at Booz. Culture/experience is better than most places I’ve worked. Getting ready for a different performance management approach kicking off this month so ready yourself for the growing pains there. Depending on your role, and what you want, there is a lot of variety but access to those roles initially will be based a lot on your admin team’s network. I’ve gone and come back if that helps at all
Spent almost 10 years at Booz and loved it. Learned so much and there are great mentors there. Culture was pretty amazing - most of my closest friends are from my Booz days Make sure you build a strong network of people there - you never know where your next billable gig could come from.
Idk but im making the jump there too
Experiences will vary dramatically depending on team, market, and location. People will want you to succeed, but it’ll be up to you to take the initiative and make it happen!
I worked at BAH for about a year before I jumped to Deloitte. The vibe wasn’t what I wanted/the work I was doing was dry - Federal space. However I have two close friends (both Sr Cons) there now and they hate it 😞
Your vibe/experience will depend on the market group you're joining (Defense/Civil/Health/Commercial/etc.). Also depends on your administrative team (VP/Principal tree). I've been at both Accenture and Deloitte. My time at BAH has been very positive so far (~2 years).
High deductible health plans keep getting higher from what I hear.
@A3 - most revenue does come from government work, but Booz has been aggressively trying to grow their commercial business, especially in cyber. Their commercial cyber practice went through some turnover (in leadership) with some key departures. Though I heard the ship is now on a good path with the hiring of former Target CISO
They have incredibly long titles.
Heard from an ex employee it was a body shop. And don’t they primarily do government work?
