For my pcos ladies on metformin, interesting news article. Be careful out there. The good news I hear is that metformin leaves the body pretty quickly so in 2 days you won't have it in you anymore. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.forbes.com/sites/victoriaforster/2020/04/05/researchers-warn-that-covid-19-treatment-t

Had 6 boys; on the road Monday- Thursday;; joined consulting as a Senior Consultant & was a partner for 19 years; wife working full-time but could never have accomplished it without a reliable live-in nanny for the entire period of time
We have a nanny. It was a no Brainer. My wife is successful and a nanny is 50k but still net positive for my wife to keep working. She is in sales and can come home. But generally we can only see our girls for 2-3 hours a day total. Sacrifice for a better life and more opportunities for them I guess
Yes. As simple as that. It’s tough as hell. My wife can work remote so that’s even more tricky since she has to manage work AND kiddo. My travel has reduced from 4 days a week to 2. Hasn’t affected growth prospects, but is definitely a challenge getting staffed to in-the-clients-face projects. You gotta do what you gotta do.
3 under 5, SO works harder than I do, made it work with daycare with first 2. Switching to nanny now b/c cheaper and more flexible, esp with kindergarten on the horizon. We are exhausted
Communication is key. We both work and travel but neither is full time travel. Set boundaries and priorities your kids will only be babies/young once enjoy it
Wife a physician with 80 hour weeks. My in laws would help out whenever I’m out traveling, but we also hired a part time nanny to ease everyone’s burden
I wish my spouse had a job...
How is nanny cheaper when you have to pay “nanny tax” - basically like I am a small employer?
Yes there are taxes. It’s not “like” being an employer. It IS being an employer. That doesn’t magically make a nanny more expensive
Daycare scales almost linearly with # of kids; x3 = almost $6k/mo.
Nanny is <$5k, even with taxes.
