Is Morgan Stanley currently remote? Just got a job for a contract position in NYC for Morgan Stanley downtown office (1 Penn plaza). I heard from some employees that they are remote but the hiring manager said I should come into office. Kinda confused why a contractor would need to come into office and employees are working remote.

What’s your goal? I’ve always paid my rent/mortgage with money I have (check, ACH). Are you trying to float rent or are you looking for % back on expenses?
Just started looking into it. Looks like a good way to earn rewards from rental payments, or things you wouldn’t necessarily get them back on. Would deep dive into the fine print though, as far as potential fees or drawbacks. Does look like it has some benefits BUT I haven’t had a lot of time to really look through it yet.
Seems like you earn points for travel
Its a solid card. Have used it for over a year. You have to use the card 5x in a month in order to get the credit card fee waived on rent. Can easily find some small charges to put on the card that will qualify. I used to reload my amazon account 5x each month for $1 a piece
Thanks you sound really knowledgeable!
Yeah, it's a MasterCard from Wells. You can pay rent while avoiding transaction fees and also there's no annual fee for the card itself
I think so, rent is 3k a month for me. So that’s $360 I’d get back I wouldn’t have otherwise annually. Or even more when transferred to Hyatt.
I think it is
This seems like Marketing for BILT credit card. The comments are suppose to be coming from people who alledgedly work at EY, JP, KPMG, are are renting. Alledgedly they are paying their rent using this card. I call bs, People in general are very asset oriented let alone people who work at those firms. I'm sure it has much to do with the nature of the business. No one is using a credit card to pay rent if he or she can help it. The rewards on such card would need to be hella inticing to card holders where it would not make sense unless only to full fill a short term usage motive by the credit card company.Bad idea
You don't know what you are talking about. This is a great idea. It's like someone offering you a 1% - 3% discount on your rent. Why on earth wouldn't you do this? You are going to pay your rent anyway so why not use a card and pay it off immediately and pocket the points? "No one is using a credit card to pay rent", cause you couldn't until BILT came along. Otherwise everyone would have been doing it for the points.
