Does anyone know avg salary of TPM at Amazon?
Hi Sharks, I had an interview with Tata Consultancy today and cleared the TAG round by answering all their questions. So here my query is, based on my performance will they offer me a hike of 100% or more from my CCTC, because this role is too relevant to my domain and technical knowledge so that I don't wanna miss out on this.
CCTC - 6LPA
YOE - 5

Guys I really need your advice. I accepted the offer from CTS on call for a different location. I will never relocate. Should I resign based on this offer. What's the probability I will get new offer in 3 months notice period. If on formal offer once generated by CTS on email, I deny will they consider me for my current location? Initially in all my email communication they denied my current location and I had no choice other than to accept the offer for a different location. Cognizant

Ahh yes the IT consulting to IB route. Old as time itself.
Have fun ripping 85+ hour weeks
100% agree
I made the switch from analytics to IBD. Can help answer any questions.
I started as an engineer and made a switch to an analytics consultant role and used that to leverage into a consultant position at Deloitte after ~1 year or so.
Once at Deloitte I pushed to get involved with the m&a group and used that experience to lateral into IBD.
I just made it to the final round, just to lose out to an internal applicant.

They’re super super selective. You’re probably better off trying to break into an analytics arm at MBB or even B4 then eventually industry.
I’m not making IB money but I do alright (gonna gross $400K this year) 15 YOE
Might be able to RPA their LBO models otherwise don’t think you’ve got a chance.
Tech tho

I considered it, but after seeing how much I hated being on-call during deals in FDD and how the bankers worked even more, I don't ever want to go into IB no matter how much money they make. Working 50-60 hours regularly is already a drain on my energy levels/social life for me personally, but I can still manage to have some semblance of a life F-Sun. In banking, your work is your life and my friends who stuck it out in that industry are all out of shape alocholics/druggies.
I've come to realize that unless you have an extreme type-A personality, most of these careers people salivate over aren't that great outside of the money you make. I'm in strategy consulting right now (former CPA) and am looking to pivot back to finance because I absolutely loathe how fluffy the work is. Yeah, I'll probably get paid less, but at least I'm doing something I enjoy and have some regularity to my life.
If you want an extremely luxurious life and work on the biggest projects, then maybe IB/MBB is for you. For me personally, I'm way happier doing less prestigious work that I still enjoy and think adds value and settling for a lesser paycheck.
